1. Terms
By accessing the website at DecoToolkit, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.
These terms apply to both the free browser-based tools and the paid developer API service.
2. User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for any content uploaded or processed, compliance with all applicable laws, and ensuring they have the necessary rights to use the files.
You are explicitly forbidden from using DecoToolkit or the API for:
- Any illegal use or activities;
- Processing abusive, harmful, or explicit content;
- The violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights;
- Abuse, spam, malware distribution, scraping, or attacks on DecoToolkit or third-party systems;
- Attempting to bypass rate limits, credit limits, plan restrictions, or billing mechanisms;
- Reselling access to the API or API output without explicit written permission from DecoToolkit;
- Interfering with the reliability, availability, or integrity of the service;
- Uploading or processing harmful, infringing, or unlawful content.
3. Accounts
An account is required to access API features, create API tokens, manage credits, and access billing.
You are responsible for:
— Keeping your login credentials and API tokens secure and confidential.
— All activity that occurs under your account and API tokens.
You must not share, publicly expose, or resell your API tokens.
If you suspect unauthorized use of your account or tokens, contact us immediately.
4. API Usage
API usage is measured through a credit system. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance.
Credit consumption per request may vary depending on the endpoint, file size, number of pages, use of OCR, or processing complexity.
Unused monthly subscription credits expire at the end of each billing cycle unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Enterprise credit limits are custom and defined by direct agreement.
DecoToolkit reserves the right to adjust endpoint availability, credit costs, and plan limits over time with reasonable notice where applicable.
5. Paid Plans and Billing
Paid API plans (Starter and Pro) are billed on a monthly basis through Stripe.
Plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You are responsible for maintaining valid payment information in your account.
If payment fails, your plan access may be limited, suspended, or downgraded.
You can manage your subscription, payment method, and billing history through the billing portal in your account.
Pricing may change over time. We will provide notice of price changes where legally required.
Applicable taxes may be added depending on your location and local tax laws.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time.
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to your plan until the period ends.
Payments already made are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law or explicitly approved by DecoToolkit.

Where applicable law grants you mandatory cancellation, withdrawal or refund rights, those rights are not limited by these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under the laws of your country of residence.
7. Enterprise
Enterprise plans are custom and require direct contact with DecoToolkit.
Enterprise terms, credit limits, token limits, billing structure, support level, and any custom agreement are defined separately.
Business or Enterprise customers who require a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) or custom privacy and security terms can contact DecoToolkit to discuss these requirements.

8. File Responsibility
By using our tools or API, the user guarantees that they own or have the legal rights to process the files they upload. The user guarantees that the files are legal. DecoToolkit is NOT responsible for any file content processed through our platform.
9. Content Processing Disclaimer
Our tools and API are provided for general-purpose use only. We do NOT validate or verify the outputs generated.
Some API endpoints process content server-side. Temporary processing is necessary to deliver the requested result. DecoToolkit does not claim ownership over any content you process or submit.
We are NOT responsible for:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the results;
- Any data loss that may occur during processing;
- Any misuse of the output generated by our tools or API.
10. No Professional Use
DecoToolkit's tools and API must NOT be used as the sole basis for critical or professional decisions where accuracy is paramount. Our services must NOT be used for:
- Legal decisions or document preparation;
- Medical use or diagnosis;
- Financial decisions or reporting;
- Official, government, or certified documents;
- Safety-critical systems or applications.
11. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily use the materials and services on DecoToolkit's website for personal or business purposes in accordance with these terms. Under this license you may not:
- Modify or copy the website materials without permission;
- Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on DecoToolkit's website;
- Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
- Transfer the materials to another person or mirror the materials on any other server.
12. API Availability and Limitations
The API is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis unless a specific Enterprise agreement provides otherwise.
DecoToolkit does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, or suitability for any particular use case.
We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or temporary outages as needed.
13. Suspension and Termination
DecoToolkit may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you:
— Violate these terms of service;
— Abuse the service or API in a way that affects availability or reliability for other users;
— Create a security risk;
— Fail to make payments for a paid plan;
— Attempt to bypass plan limits, billing restrictions, or rate limits.
In serious cases, we reserve the right to permanently terminate access without prior notice.
14. Disclaimer
The materials and services on DecoToolkit's website are provided on an 'as is' basis. DecoToolkit makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
15. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall DecoToolkit or its suppliers be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the materials, tools, or API on DecoToolkit's website. We are NOT liable for:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
- Data loss or corruption;
- Financial loss or business interruption;
- Misuse of our tools, API, or their outputs;
- Any decisions made based on the outputs of our tools or API.
This limitation applies even if DecoToolkit or a DecoToolkit authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
16. Accuracy of Materials
The materials appearing on DecoToolkit's website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. DecoToolkit does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. DecoToolkit may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice.

DecoToolkit has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by DecoToolkit of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.
18. Modifications
DecoToolkit may revise these terms of service for its website at any time without notice. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
