1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

Cookies can be "persistent" or "session" cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your personal computer or mobile device when you go offline, while session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser.

2. How We Use Cookies

At DecoToolkit, we use cookies grouped into three categories, which match the choices in the cookie consent banner shown on this site:

  • Necessary Cookies (always active): These cookies are required for core website functionality and cannot be disabled. They cover security, session management, authentication, account access, API dashboard access, billing portal navigation, language preferences and anti-abuse protection.
  • Analytics Cookies (requires your consent): These cookies help us understand how visitors use DecoToolkit so we can improve the website, tools and API experience. They may collect usage information such as pages visited, session duration, device type, browser type and approximate location. Analytics cookies are loaded through Google Tag Manager and are only active after you give Analytics consent.
  • Marketing Cookies (requires your consent): These cookies may be used to show relevant ads on tool pages, measure advertising campaigns or track affiliate referrals if these features are enabled. They are only active after you give Marketing consent and only on pages where advertising or affiliate features are in use.

3. Third-Party Cookies

In addition to our own cookies, third-party services we use may set or read cookies. These services only become active under the conditions described in Section 2.

  • Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics (Analytics consent required): Analytics is loaded through Google Tag Manager (GTM-T5BJ4MRW). GTM and Google Analytics only activate after you give Analytics consent. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google AdSense (Marketing consent required): The AdSense script is injected dynamically only when you give Marketing consent. It is not present before that. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You may opt out at: https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
  • Stripe (Necessary β€” payment flows only): When you access the billing portal or complete a checkout flow, Stripe may use cookies or browser storage to manage the payment session. Stripe operates independently of the Analytics and Marketing categories above. Stripe's policies are at: https://stripe.com/privacy.
  • Affiliate Partners (Marketing consent required): If affiliate tracking is active, affiliate partners may use cookies to track conversions. This is only enabled with Marketing consent.

4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have the right to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can set your preferences through the cookie consent banner that appears when you first visit our website.

You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie icon at the bottom of the page and choosing "Customize".

When you click "Reject", only Necessary cookies remain active β€” Analytics and Marketing cookies are disabled.

When you click "Accept all", all cookie categories become active.

Necessary cookies cannot be disabled. They include authentication, session, security and preference cookies that are required for core site functionality, account access and API features.

Note: Disabling Analytics or Marketing cookies will not affect access to DecoToolkit's tools or account features.

5. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
